Mission Statement－ Taoyuan County International English Village

The emphasis of the generation and exploitation of knowledge plays a predominant role in the creation of wealth and economy in this global village. The inculcation and education of language and the creation of an optimal learning environment are the utmost priority for the linguistic education of the children of the general republic.

For the purpose of providing a satisfactory English language learning environment, Taiyun County has amended the National Doctrine of  Linguistic Education of the Ninety-Sixth Year of the Republic of China (Taiwan), and is committed to achieving the following objectives:

• In collaboration with Taiwan Affairs Council, undertaking the challenge of the Year 2008: National Development Mission-- Aiming for the personal enrichment of the E-generation

The inauguration of a multitude of quality English learning environment, augmenting the academic proficiency in the area of listening, speaking, and reading comprehension, flourishing the national competitiveness of the next generation

• Substantiating and securing the consecutive Nine-Year Plan of Academic Curricula and Teaching Proficiency Augmentation-- Organization and implementation of supporting committee to strengthen the deficiency and shortage of qualified English teachers

Accurately implementing and executing English erudition, minimizing the difference in learning curve induced by the difference in the qualification and capability of English teachers  

• Supplying qualified and proficient overseas English teachers, bridging the debilitating gap of teaching qualification between the cities and the counties

Providing an equal opportunity for the students in county residence to be immersed in a complete and proper English education

• Recruitment of adept and professional overseas teachers, providing assistance to the local curricula editing, research, and development

In consultation with the professionally certified teachers, their background and qualification will play a significant part in the development of the optimal teaching techniques and through the exchange of their invaluable personal experience, the county's English education will bear the respect of the international committee.  

• Providing ultimate assistance in assimilating an international living environment, elevating the competence and expertise of the national citizens

Through the recruitment of professionally apt personnel, the International English Village's learning trend will be built upon their qualifying teaching philosophy and instrumental and supportive guidance; thus exceptionally expanding the language learning curve and and efficacy, creating an optimal learning environment that matches the international prospect of English Learning Committee.
